CAMPUS Asia Plus 2022 Stepping Forward: Launching the Asian Animation Education Network / Co-work2021「The Carnival of Life」
About Co-work
Co-work is a program in which animation students from graduate programs in Japan, China and Korea collaboratively create short animation works from the development stage to completion. Tokyo University of the Arts (Tokyo Geidai) and Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) launched the program in 2010 to encourage cross-border networking among emerging creators who hold the keys to the future of animation culture in Asia. Communication University of China (CUC) joined Co-work in 2011 and 2021 marked the 12th iteration of the project.
In addition, from 2016 through 2020, Co-work received support from the CAMPUS Asia initiative, a trilateral program to encourage exchange among university studies in Japan, Korea and China. In 2021, the same consortium was selected into CAMPUS Asia Plus, this time to expand the project to involve ASEAN countries.
